Hello everyone!

Decopatch is one of my favourite hobbies! I first saw Decopatch at a Christmas craft fair and they had a free workshop where you could decorate coasters, and since then I’ve been hooked.

As it’s Christmas I decopatched a reindeer to add to my holiday decorations.

What you will need:
A reindeer (Decopatch brand, mdf, wood or papier-mâché)
Decopatch papers (Like thick tissue paper)
Decopatch glue (Similar to pva)
A Decopatch brush (these are made from hog bristles, I use size 10)

Firstly choose 3 to 4 different coordinating papers. I had a red and white Christmas paper, so I chose ones that coordinated well with it.

Tear up the papers into small pieces.

Using the brush apply the glue to a section of the reindeer, place a piece of the paper here and brush it down flat with more glue, repeat ‘til the reindeer is entirely covered.

I decided to decopatch the antlers, hooves and tail with the white music paper so that it would contrast with the rest of its body.

Handy tip: If you are decopatching something that stands up, start with the feet so they will be dry by the time you finish decopatching the whole thing this way you can stand it up to dry without it sticking to the table

A couple of hours later, once the reindeer was entirely dry, I coated the reindeer with Decopatch glitter glue to add some sparkle and to varnish it.
